English Bulldog on a Florida Beach

SURRENDER

The decision to surrender your pet may or may not be a hard decision for you to make.  It could be due to a change in your financial or family situation.  It could also be due to an increase in vet bills or an impending move where the dog no longer fits into the plan.  Finally, it could be because the needs of a bulldog is not what you were anticipating. No matter the reason we’re not here to judge.  We are here to do what is best for the dog.

We do have a wait list to intake dogs.  Our process is as follows:

  1. Dog must be of pure French or English bulldog breed.  We are a breed specific rescue and we do not work with mixed breed animals.

  2. Owners must fill out the surrender form - include all required information including vet records.  Incomplete forms will be rejected.

  3. Intake form is read and approved or rejected by a volunteer coordinator.  You will be advised either way.

  4. If approved, your dog is added to the intake list.

  5. When an appropriate foster home is found, we will contact you to surrender the dog to Florida Bulldog Rescue.

  6. Intakes and foster placements are not done on a first-come-first served basis -they are done based on fit, needs and urgency.
